The SSC has its regional set-up in order to conduct various exams smoothly. At present, it has seven regional offices at Bangalore , Allahabad, Mumbai, Chennai Kolkata, Delhi , Guwahati, and two sub-regional offices at Chandigarh and Raipur .

-SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam (SSC CHSL)

-Junior Engineer

-Junior Hindi Translator

-SSC Multitasking

-Central Police Organization Exam (CPO Exam)

-Stenographer

– General Duty Exam for Constables(GD Exam)

The minimum educational qualification criteria for a few of these SSC exams is undergraduate (12th board ). However, many of these exams have the qualification requirement is Graduation.

Some of the Major Functions of SSC

  • SSC conduct the recruitment for the Group “B” posts in the various Ministries/ Departments of the Govt. of India and their subordinate offices and for all non-technical Group “C” posts in the several Ministries and many Departments of Govt. of India and their subordinate offices
  • SSC conduct exams and interviews for the posts within its purview
  • SSC conduct departmental exams related to promotion from a lower Post to upper Post
  • SSC conduct periodical typewriting tests in Hindi and English
  • SSC perform other functions entrusted to it by the Central Govt. from time to time
